Press and Radio Workshop - 13th October 2011

A practical course that gives you an understanding of how the media works and provides the basic skills for handling press and radio interviews. You will find out what makes a news story, and how journalists work. It includes preparing for the interview, crafting concise and focused messages, and dealing effectively with hostile media, so you can turn negative questions into positive responses.
Radio and TV Workshop - 1st November 2011

On this course you'll learn how to develop your messages and take control of an interview, ensuring that you get your agenda across effectively and credibly. You will be shown camera and microphone techniques, and find out the importance of body language in determining the impression you make on an audience, enabling you to make the most of the interview opportunity. Again the emphasis is on practical exercises.
Both courses are full day and are held at Sprowston Manor, Norwich. All delegates will experience at least one simulated real-life interview, and leave with a course booklet and their interview on a memory stick. Lunch and refreshments provided.
